EA MySims SkyHeroes Launched

Back in May, EA announced a new flying action adventure title to further expand its MySims franchise. The company has now released MySims SkyHeroes in HD for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and Nintendo DS on September 28.

The title has been designed to offer both cooperative gameplay missions and online multiplayer action.

Simplicity of Fruit Ninja raking in millions

Heard about ... Fruit Ninja.

A group of Australian app makers is raking in millions out of this simple yet addictive game.

Simple and addictive as the main aim of the game is to slice fruit with your finger.Check out this video:


Fruit Ninja, the brainchild of Halfbrick executive producer Luke Muscat age 25 , available for the iPhone, iPad and Google Android platforms, has consistently hovered around the top of the iTunes App Store charts since its launch in April.

The first million copies of the $1.19 app were sold in 74 days and this week the Brisbane-based developers, Halfbrick Studios, announced it took a further 78 days to sell the second million copies.

Courtesy, the wide popularity of Fruit Ninja (simplicity allows it to be a hit with all demographics) has transformed Halfbrick into one of the most successful app developers in the world. Founded in 2001, the company used to create games under contract for major publishers on platforms including the Gameboy Advance and Nintendo DS.

Halfbrick's second iPhone game, Monster Dash (iPad version available), sold a respectable 300,000 copies and its third game, Age of Zombies, is due out in the next few months. The company has also launched several titles for the Sony PSP and soon Halfbrick will launch its first game for Xbox Live Arcade, Raskulls.
